Future Advocates for Agriculture Concerned About Tomorrow (FAACT)
FCFB’s FAACT Leadership Development Program is an eight-month comprehensive educational program for community leaders focusing on issues affecting agriculture – the county’s number one employer.
The once-a-month, day-long seminars provide half-day classroom discussions with leading experts and half-day tour/field trips. FAACT offers a balanced, factual presentation of several issue areas specific to agriculture, such as air quality, land use planning, water quality regulations and supply development, immigration and agricultural labor issues, regulatory processes and the economic viability of agriculture.
The program will cultivate community champions who will advocate for long-term economic vitality of the region and provide in-depth information and education on critical issues.
